WHO?

Join the Valcárcel Family in this adventure of faith

Daniel and Elisabet were born in Barcelona, Spain to a rich legacy of Christian servants. Their mission is to share God’s joy with others together with their five children—

a girl and four boys.

After a move to the US, the Valcárcels now serve as full-time cross-cultural workers. They are confident they will be able to start their work overseas in April, 2021 serving under Global Fellowship.

WHAT?

Boldly Proclaiming God’s Joy

We seek to establish ekklesia communities where we show people what it means to be Christ’s disciples by the love we have for one another. These communities will meet their neighbors’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We believe that people’s deeply-rooted desire for joy is placed there by God, and Christ is the way to the Giver of every good gift, the truth that sets us free from sin, and the life of God Himself that ushers us into His new creation.

WHERE?

Under-reached Regions

Catalonia (northeastern Spain) is a post-Christian, very secularized society with a population of 7 million. Although Christianity has been present here for centuries, many have rejected it for its dogmatism, corruption and links to the Inquisition and the Crusades. However, most people have never heard the unpolluted Good News that God offers salvation and an abundant new life freely by His grace. The evangelical population is under two percent. The languages spoken are Catalan and Spanish.

North Africa is a restricted access region and part of the 10/40 Window. Less than one percent of the 250 million people in these countries profess faith in Christ, and those who do urgently need training, resources and encouragement. Our role in the region is to engage with and equip the existing local church. The majority languages are Arabic and French.

HOW?

Relational Service

The catalyst and aim of our ministry is cultivating relationships—with God and with one another. Just as Jesus built His ministry around individuals, we engage cross-culturally with people where they live, knowing that “God is not far from them.” And we focus our efforts on relational evangelism, teaching, and music-related ministry to fledgling local churches. Our itinerant Bible teaching and music ministry is rooted in a passion to promote a robust understanding of the Bible and to foster biblical unity among believers as one Body in Christ.

A Vision Worth Sharing

A Vision Worth Sharing

Joy is a Person

The joy of God is expressed in the flesh by Jesus the Messiah, who gave his own life for the world, with the joy set before him.

Joy is a Fruit

As we abide in the True Vine, the fruits of love, joy, and peace become the hallmarks of our lives—in the brightest as well as the darkest moments.

Joy is a Mission

Sharing deep, eternal joy one person at a time is our compelling delight, for the glory of God.
